• eBook- Textbook pages that will be covered in the Mindtap excercises and in class for that day. They are accessible through the eBook in Mindtap or in the loose-leaf textbook. Carefully review and prepare (out loud and written out as necessary) any included ¡A conversar!" activities prior to class each day.
• MindTap - Instruction and excerices completed outside of class to help you learn and practice the course content and get prepared for further in-class instruction. To be completed before 8 AM Eastern on the indicated day. Certain activities involving recordings with another person are for practice and are not graded; you use them to help you prepare for our in-class activities for that day. (If you find any multi-student activities assigned for a grade rather than for practice let the instructor know.)

• Mindtap grading: You will receive a Mindtap score each week. VIew this link to see grading settings for "Ready" and "Learn it" activities in Mindtap. VIew this link to see grading settings for "Practice it", "Use it", and "Got it" activities. There are certain activities that are only partially graded by Mindtap and require instructor review to complete the grading process. Your grade will appear as 0% for these activities. Your responses are visible to the instructors and will be graded as needed. Also, accurate punctuation is an essential element of written language. Therefore, answers you submit that do not follow the punctuation, capitalization and written stress/tilde norms of Spanish will be marked as incorrect. (e.g. If asked, your professor's last name is, "Despain"; and the following would all be counted as wrong: "despain", "despain ", "Despain.", "Dr. Despain", "Dr Despain").
• *Pronuncation Activities. The pronunciation activities in MindTap are for practice only; spend 10-20 minutes; simply practice saying the words; do your best to attempt to mimic the tone, tempo, cadence as best you can; the technology is not perfect; don't get too hung up on whether it counts each word as correct or not.
