ABSTRACT

In Fall 2004, NC State University will begin offering a Masters degree in French and Spanish leading to either an MA or an MA with “M”/Advanced licensure. Because the program is still in the planning stages, this session will introduce the possibilities and ask the attendees/potential candidates WHAT THEY NEED for course content, scheduling, etc.

BIODATA

Mary Ann Witt is Professor of French and Italian at NC State University. She is the Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Foreign Languages and LIteratures. She received her PhD. in Comparative Literature at Harvard University. Her research interests include Modern French Theater.

Scott Despain is Associate Professor of Spanish at NC State University, and Executive Director of the Foreign Languages Technology Center. He received his PhD from Indiana University-Bloomington in the Instruction of Hispanic Language and Literature. His research interests include courseware development, distance education, and SLA/CALL research.
