What Rubrics Are

Slatta Translation: A rubric is a set of clear standards that informs students of expectations for an assignment and provides the teacher with a fair, consistent set of criteria for assessing performance on the assignment.
Rubrics come in two flavors: General Impressions Assessment or Holistic Rubrics: based on an overall sense of the assignments quality
Category-based Assessment: Based on specific expectations of various assignment elements
"Rubric's Cube" is based on the latter model.
