Taking Exams - Raleigh Area

If you live in the Raleigh area (less than 50 miles away from the NC State campus) you take the hourly tests and the final exam on Centennial campus with the NC State DELTA Testing Services on one of the days indicated on the course schedule for each test. Tests are administered on a walk-in basis. Complete information on hours of operation, parking, etc., can be found on their site. You can also watch an orientation video with Ms. Wuf available on their site.
Note: Bring a set of headphones in order to hear the audio portion of the test, and take the test using a black pen so that your answers are legible on the scanned pdf.

Proctoring of Exams - Outside the Raleigh Area

If you live outside of a 50-mile radius of Raleigh you are allowed to have your exams proctored with a remote proctor on the exam date(s) indicated on the course schedule. All information on this process is found on the NC State DELTA Testing Services page. There you will also find the Student Proposed Proctor form and Proctor Agreement Forms online. If you have any questions that are not answered on that page, please use the "Contact Us" link on that page. The deadline to submit a proctor for approval is the last day to enroll; see the academic calendar. The approval process for remote proctors takes several days. No proctors without a verifiable email address will be approved.

Remote Proctoring Requirements

The easiest process for obtaining a remote proctor is to use one of the recommended proctors on the NC State DELTA Testing Services proctor list. If you want to propose a different proctor, complete the Proctor Request form available through their site. Proctor's need to meet the following criteria in addition to any criteria DELTA has:

The proctor has access to an Internet-connected computer which has Windows Media Player 10 or higher and the computer can produce audio.
The proctor meets the Proctor Standards and Guidelines for DELTA.
The proctor can scan and email a PDF of your exam, or can fax it.
