Parte auditiva

  1. ¡Fuera de lugar! LISTEN to groups of 4 items and write the item that is out of place.
  2. Preguntas personales.  Answer questions asked by the professor using complete Spanish sentences.
  3. Los números. Spell out the numbers that you hear.
  4. A escuchar. Listen to a description, then answer the written questions using complete Spanish sentences.

Parte escrita

  1. Tener. Fill in the blank with the correct form of the correct tener idiom according to the pictures you see.
  2. Unas descripciones. Describe people by filling in the blanks with the opposite of the descriptive words given.
  3. Los posesivos. Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the possessive adjective. (Note: the subject of the verb and the possessor are the same person.)
  4. Encuentro cultural. Indicate "cierto" o "falso" to statements based on the "Nota lingüística", "Cultura" , "¡A explorar!" "Comentario cultural", and "Encuentro cultural" sections of the textbook, including the video clips.
  5. Más vocabulario. Fill in the blanks with the appropriate vocabulary words from the Chapter 2 vocabulary.
  6. Nacionalidades. Identify and describe country, language and nationality for the Hispanic and non-hispanic countries studied thus far in the course.
  7. Los verbos de tipo -er, -ir, y -ar. Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs selected from a list.
  8. Ensayo. Write a paragraph describing yourself, your family, etc.

Note: While each exam focuses on a particular chapter, all exams are, due to natural linguistic and cultural necessity, comprehensive. For example, you are expected to remember Hispanic geography, which is something you learned in chapter P.
