to groups of 4 items and write the item that is out of place.
- Formal o informal. Listen
to conversations and indicate whether they are formal or informal.
- Cierto o falso. Listen
to the information read by the instructor, then indicate whether it is "cierto" o "falso".
- Un diálogo. Write
responses to questions and statements spoken by the professor.

- Ser y hay. Fill
in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs ser and haber.
- Muchas preguntas. Fill
in the blanks with the correct question word.
- Las matemáticas. Write
out mathematical equations in Spanish.
- Vocabulario. Fill
in the blanks with the appropriate vocabulary words from a list.
- Encuentro cultural. Indicate "cierto" o "falso" to
statements based on the "¡A explorar!," "Nota lingüística", "Cultura" , "Comentario cultural", and "Encuentro cultural" sections
of the textbook, including video clips.
- La geografía. Identify (in Spanish) the 21 Hispanic countries and their location on regional maps
