1. Can I take the course for "Credit Only"?

• In general, if a course is required for your major you cannot take it for "credit only", and if the course is not required, you MAY be able to take it for credit only. Talk to your advisor. It has been my experience that many students that take a course for "credit only" end up doing very poorly, and a significant amount do not end up with the required C- (70.0%) and therefore they lose on their gamble. I have also had excellent students that end up doing very well in the course and wish they had not taken it for "credit only".
