First apologies....web pages come and go without warning. I maintain hundreds of pages with thousands of links, so some of these are probably dead. I run an e-bot to check links but let me know if you hit a 404 error. When you're part of the cyperspace community, do a better job on maintenance than your predecessors!!

  Computer Software and Skills Needed for DE

  • NCSU Unity Account
  • Web Browser
  • Word processing or text editing program with a spell checker and grammar checker to write your assignments. Set the grammar checking option to "formal writing." If you're not using Microsoft Word, you may need to save your work as RTF (Rich Text Files).
  • You will need to learn how to use our Interactive History Lab site for discussions, essays, and quizzes.
  • You must have virus-checking software on your computer.
