  Chapter 20: Creating Models

  Note that the new version of ArcGIS differs from the book. Click on Help in ArcMap, and read the section on "Modeling, Overview".

  • Exercise 20a, p. 541: Starting a Model
    • Show 20a: In ModelBuilder, after running the model on p. 549, select Model, Print; then select Model, Report (View in Window). In the Report window, select Expand to see the full report. Right click to print.

  • Exercise 20b, p. 550: Building a Model
    • Show 20b: In ModelBuilder, after running the model in Step 29, p. 560, select Model, Print; then select Model, Report (View in Window). In the Report window, select Expand to see the full report. Right click to print.

  • Exercise 20c, p. 562: Enhancing a Model
    • Show 20c: Print out the statistics bar chart on p. 571. Tip: After gettimg the bar chart, copy it to the buffer with Alt-PrintScreen. Then go to Word and do Control-V (or Edit, Paste). Add the label and your name.
