I joined the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures in 2002. Prior to coming to NCSU, I completed my Ph.D. in Spanish Applied Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh and lived in Puerto Rico where I taught English as a Second Language, Linguistics, and Foreign Language Pedagogy at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao.
