You are now reading an assignment. Notice the difference in screens. Information here appears along the top of the page, beginning with the tree symbol of the OpenSeminar in Research Ethics (OSRE). The tree is a link to return you to the first page of the course. To the right of the tree are four fields: the name of the course, current module, current assignment, and assignment page number. You are in the course, "Research Ethics;" in module "0.0 Intro to course," and on p. 1 of the "Intro to website" assignment.
To help you retain what you have read, we provide interactive exercises, usually in the form of multiple choice questions. When you see a question, select the best answer by clicking on the appropriate radio button. Press Submit.
To close each question, you must perform three actions.
1. Read the pop-up window to learn whether you answered correctly.
2. If you answered correctly, close the pop-up. If you answered incorrectly, review the material and answer the question again. You will not be permitted to continue to the next page of the assignment until you have the right answer.
3. After you close the pop-up, look to the bottom of the original question page. There you will see another button marked Continue. You can either go forward to the next page or back to the previous page. Set the desired value in the drop-box before you hit Continue. The default is to go to the next page.
To save your progress at any point during your session, press the "save your progress" button. The next time that you return to the assignment in a new browser session, you will automatically start at the page you have saved.
