Objectives
The objectives of the mini-course are to provide an opportunity for LANGURE's Fellows to:
- Discuss the core topics to be included in LANGURE's course, "Introduction to Research Ethics," and
- Determine the pedagogical context in which LANGURE's discipline-specific modules will appear.
The mini-course will fulfill its objectives if, after completing it, each participant is able to:
- Explain LANGURE’s 6 objectives;
- Find additional information about LANGURE on the web;
- Explain the learning objectives, target audience, number of credits and semesters in which the “Introduction to Research Ethics” course will be offered;
- Understand various proposals for the core topics to be covered in the Intro course;
- Explain the context in which the "Intro" students are likely to encounter the module on which the participant is working;
- Explain the dates, and who is responsible, for completion of:
- First draft of module
- Second draft of module
- Intro course offered on campus
- National conference at NC State to discuss second draft of module
- Proposal submitted to annual professional meeting to present module
- Module presented at annual professional meeting
